Do you dedicate your child to the ultimate control and will of God?
As you can see the dedication is more for the parents and the parents who choose to dedicate their child at the church are saying this is the church we want to raise our children in.
The final question is to the congregation and is asking the church to support you in your intentions of raising your child in the faith.
